  I have a question here The IGI batch C045551 1720/1812 and batch C045551 1813/1875 gives Johns father as William Goddard and mother Elizabeth (If Joans existing family tree is correct the mother should be Mary Hall) To progress we shall continue with Elizabeth meantime as every thing else fits The IGI gives us a marriage for John Goddard and Sarah Bartlett Hall on the 30th April 1837 in Harborough Magna Warks This is clearly correct and is confirmed by the 1851 census return The 1841 Census Harborough Magna, house 5, lists John Goddard age 20 bricklayer his wife Sarah age 25 and son William age 2 The 1851 census gives us John Goddard and his wife Sarah living at 19 West Leyes Rugby Warwick His occupation is given as a Bricklayer age 34 and his wife a dressmaker age 38 They have 4 children living there (1) William H Goddard age 11, (2) George H Goddard age 8 (3) Mary E J Goddard age 4, and (4) Sarah Goddard age? John remarried in 1858 when his first wife died and went on to father 7 more children I have a burial for John Goddard under Harborough Magna on date 9 Dec 1871 age 56 This may be our John although the age does not tally exactly and a child Evelyn is baptised in 1876 However I have him dead before the 1881 Census as he does not appear thereon
